To readers both new and old, my sincere thanks for stopping by. This has been one crazy year for me and my family, as we moved to a new state, encountering a great deal of unexpected turmoil along the way. Thus, I haven't been actively writing, needing time, solace, and healing, but that is about to change. I'm back to work on my memoir, which just got a doozy of an additional chapter given our experiences this past year, and I look forward to sharing more with you soon.It's hard to believe that fall is almost here and our kids will be back in school next week. Autumn is my favorite time of year, but I'm not looking forward to the barrage of political discourse increasing as we roll into November. It'll be hard not to get pulled into the drama of an election year, especially given how passionate I am that we continue to move forward as a country that embraces all of our citizens, but I'm hoping my focus on this new memoir will help do the trick.For those of us who write, it is our job to tell our stories, as the personal is indeed political. I've always believed that by sharing ourselves with the world, we can help change the world. And I'm going to work to try to do just that.Again, thanks for visiting!
