New Interview in the Examiner!
Thank you, Xavier Axelson, for the great questions in our Examiner interview! It was lots of fun and I appreciate the opportunity. Make sure to head over to the Examiner for the full interview, but here are a few of my favorite questions:What are you reading right now?I have a stack of novels, mainly written by Twitter friends, which I’m going through at present. Recently I’ve enjoyed Missing by Drake Braxton and Shirts and Skins by Jeffrey Luscombe.Three writers or poets that have influenced your writing:Armistead Maupin, for his deceptively-simple way of storytelling. Maeve Binchy, for how quickly she makes you care about her characters. And Michael Cunningham, for just about everything else. How do you feed your inspiration and keep your creative muse happy? The only way I can feed my muse is through life experiences. I wouldn’t have been a good writer at 25. For me, my road has given me inspiration, and that continues to fuel me. What does being brave mean to you? I think anyone who lives an honest, open, and authentic life is brave, simple as that.Read the full interview here. Thanks, Examiner!
