A Photographer to Watch: Troy Schooneman

I haven’t posted here in a while–been working on my memoir–but I wanted to introduce you to someone who has quickly become one of my favorites on Facebook and Instagram, Thailand-based photographer Troy Schooneman. His artistic portrayals of the human form are truly exquisite, and I first found myself thinking they were paintings, rather than photographs.

Drawing inspiration from the classics, but with a specific, modern point of view, Schooneman crafts unforgettable images, haunting, evocative, but always beautifully shot.

I highly encourage you to follow him on Facebook (where he posts more regularly), as in addition to sharing his own pieces, he also shares an array of images and content from other photographers, interesting artists, and others, making him one of the most fascinating and thought-provoking forces on the web.

(And, if you share his images, please make sure to give him photo credit!)
